Thank you email to Pastor Scott for one of our teams using sandbags at a member’s home -

Email sent to Pastor Scott:
Hi Scott,
I really appreciate our church. I now have five sand bags in front of my sliding glass door placed by Peter and James Brown, which I may need but didn’t think I could ask for because it’s not a sure thing that I will be flooded. I was talking to Grace, who was waiting for Teto to call her to send help with her flooding back yard, and I mentioned to Grace that there was a possibility that I might be flooded too. Next thing I know Teto called, and then called back later and said that Peter Brown was coming over to look at the situation.
There is a stream behind my building that goes under a culvert just past the far end of my building, and two years ago when we had very heavy rain over two hours, the steam backed up from the culvert and surrounded my building. The water went down to the end of the road (not far away) and started backing up. If it had backed up a lot it might have come in my sliding glass door. So now I have been sand bagged! I really appreciate it. Peter also said that people could come back with shop vacs if necessary. I will let him and you know how things go tomorrow.
Here is a picture of my front yard on that day two years ago.
