About Pastor Gregg
In the fall of 1988, God began to work on the heart of Pastor Gregg through the ministry of a local youth group at the First Presbyterian Church of Lambertville. Gregg was seventeen, and within the year would give his life to Christ.  Immediately thereafter, Gregg began to get involved in ministry as a college volunteer in that same youth group.   It was through this ministry opportunity that Gregg developed a strong desire to see people come to and be built up in the faith. As a student at Rider University in Lawrenceville, Gregg became heavily involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and began to grow in his faith. At this time Gregg was also introduced to the teaching ministry of Calvary Chapel Philadelphia and Pastor Joe Focht.  It was here that Gregg married his high school sweetheart and began to serve the Lord again in a new youth ministry.  As a member of the rapidly growing ministry, Gregg and Robin sought to serve the Lord domestically and internationally by participating in mission trips to Siberia, Austria, Croatia, Kenya, Mexico and the Louisiana Gulf Coast.Downs Family

In the summer of 1997, God led Gregg to make the decision to leave the youth ministry staff of Calvary Chapel Philadelphia to develop the senior high youth ministry at the newly formed Calvary Chapel Mercer County (CCMC).  As the primary senior high Bible teacher, Gregg sought to create a place where kids were loved and would grow in their faith and knowledge of Christ.  In addition to serving CCMC in the youth ministry, Gregg also led a Home Fellowship at his home that has been meeting since the spring of 1997.

On January 5, 2005, once again God directed Gregg into a new ministry and he  began teaching and overseeing CCMC’s WOW ministry (the Word on Wednesday).  In April of 2005, Gregg was invited on the staff of CCMC as an Assisting Pastor where he continued to oversee the WOW ministry, the new 6:58 Saturday Evening Service, and the Home Fellowship that met in his home. With ministry needs expanding, a growing congregation, and a burden to minister, Gregg made the decision to begin full-time ministry in the Summer of 2007.  Serving full-time has allowed Gregg to be more involved in the administration and leadership of CCMC, preach and teach on Sunday mornings, organize and develop Route 56, CCMC's ministry to 5th and 6th graders.

Gregg resides with his wife Robin and their three children (Jacob, Luke and Hope) in Ewing, less than one mile from his boyhood home.  As an active member of the community, Gregg has a strong desire to reach Mercer County for Christ.
