Calvary Chapel is proud to announce that Linda Truscinski ("Linda T") will be heading to the mission field for a one year mission to the people of New Orleans and neighboring St. Bernard's Parish.  Linda will be taking a one-year leave of absence from her work as a school teacher in the Montgomery School District, to work with Calvary Chapel St. Bernard - a brand new fellowship born out of the ministry opportunities created following Hurricane Katrina. 

CCMC has participated in five work projects in the New Orleans/St. Bernard Parish area and Linda has volunteered all five times.  Of these week-long missions, Linda says, "Each time I returned home, I continued to feel pulled back to these hardest hit areas and the people trying to put their world back together." 

Beginning in September, Linda will be working with Pastor Randy and Kathy Williamson, a couple that moved to St. Bernard from Michigan after the Hurricane to start a church and rebuild the community.  During Linda's time there, she will be developing the Sunday School program, helping with family, youth and children's events, and supporting the community-building activities currently in place.  Please be in prayer for Linda's physical safety, her spiritual growth and for financial peace.
