Supporting Ministries

Calvary Chapel Mercer County has a number of ministries that are designed to care for the practical and spiritual welfare of our church and visitors.

 Greeting Ministry and Usher Ministry

The greeting ministry includes several components to help people feel welcome and to acquaint them with Calvary Chapel.

The Information Table is staffed every Saturday evening and Sunday morning to help you get information about the church, events, sign ups, and more. You’ll find a welcome packet with detailed information about Calvary Chapel and a Bible rack from which you can borrow a Bible to follow along during the teaching.  Or, if you need one at home you're welcome to take it as well or ask for a large print edition.

As you arrive, you’ll be greeted by pastors, leaders, and greeters. We want to learn your name and all we can to get you plugged into events and groups that will help you grow spiritually as you enjoy the friendships of people who share your interests.

Ushers are available to make your visit enjoyable and remove any hindrance from being able to spend time in worship, prayer, and learning. If you encounter any problem that keeps you from experiencing God’s grace, please let us know.

 Caring Ministries

We look for ways to meet many of the practical needs of our church family during crisis or extraordinary circumstances.  We believe that while it is a vital mission of any church to reach outward to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to those who do not know him, it is also the mission of a church to care for each other in real and practical ways as the Lord allows and directs.

We have a prayer team that is willing to pray with you over the phone or at church any time that you need extra spiritual support and encouragement.

Sometimes people find themselves experiencing overwhelming emotional needs.  If this happens to you, just go out into the foyer. Often there are prayer-partners, counselors and pastors available to spend time with you, listen, pray and help you through your experiences.

We want Calvary Chapel to be a place for you to learn and grow. Maybe as you grow with us the Lord will prompt you to be part of the support ministries of Calvary Chapel. Although we don't encourage people to jump in too quickly, we are eager to equip people to serve and help others.
